Latest changes to Women and Girls Rugby

The cluster centres were set up two years ago to provide a complete pathway for girls from six to 15 to try rugby at any age and at any ability level. Both a tag (or touch) option is offered alongside a contact option, catering for all confidence levels and act as a suitable entry point for participation. The aim is to provide a nurturing environment for girls to play rugby outside of the traditional mixed rugby setting. The games are played in a festival format between March and October taking place across different host venues within Wales each week.

CLUBS (SEPTEMBER - MAY 18/19)

15 and U18 girls rugby currently takes place within the traditional rugby season between September and May. Clubs and clusters are closely linked to ensure a smooth transition from the introduction to rugby, to a competitive playing outlet for those that desire to play in a league format or cup competition.
